June Product Update: Client Recordings

A new recording experience for client meetings, dictated notes and browser calls.
A meeting shouldn’t create another trail of work
The meeting ends. Then comes the recording, the transcript, the file note and the search for anything that was missed. Too often, capturing the conversation creates another process to manage.
Paradino now treats the recording as the starting point. Recordings have their own place in the platform, separate from the summaries created from them. They can be revisited, moved or used again.
The conversation is captured once and what comes from it is up to you.
Start where the meeting happens
Record is now available from the top navigation bar in Paradino.
Choose an in-person meeting, dictate a solo note or capture a browser call. Browser recording works with meetings running in platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet.
Select the client before you begin. For practice meetings, choose Internal instead.
A live transcript appears as people speak. Set the expected number of speakers before the meeting to help Paradino identify each voice.
Keep the agenda in the room
A meeting agenda is useful until the conversation starts. Then someone has to remember to follow it.
Paradino can generate an agenda from a short instruction before recording begins. You can edit the topics, move them into order or remove anything that is not needed.
During the meeting, the agenda sits beside the live transcript. Paradino marks topics as they are covered, leaving the remaining items in view.
It gives the adviser a quiet prompt without taking over the conversation.
No upload to remember
Recordings begin syncing in the background while the meeting is underway.
Once saved, they appear in the Recordings library. There is no need to wait for one recording to finish processing before beginning another.
If a browser tab closes or the meeting is interrupted, Paradino can recover the audio already captured. The adviser can continue recording or finish saving what is there.
Each recording has its own transcript. The audio can be played back or downloaded while it remains within the practice’s retention period.
A recording saved against the wrong client can be moved. Client recordings can also be moved into Internal Meetings when required.
One conversation can do more
A recording no longer needs to be tied to a particular summary before the meeting begins. Once the conversation is complete, choose the template and create the document that suits the work.
A summary can draw from several recordings. Notes can be added for context. Relevant material from the client Knowledge Base can also be included.
That gives Athena a fuller source when a conversation forms only one part of the client record.
The same meeting can support more than one document. An adviser might create a detailed file note first, then generate another version using a different template. The original summary remains intact.
Some summaries need more room
A short review call and a full discovery meeting should not produce the same kind of document.
Long-form generation is designed for detailed outputs such as fact finds or FNAs. It can use the meeting recording alongside completed client information and selected Knowledge Base documents.
The structure still comes from the practice’s template. Paradino uses the material provided to populate the document, ready for review.
The adviser remains responsible for checking the result against the source material.
What customers need to know
Paradino supports three recording types:
- In-person meeting
- Solo note
- Browser call
Browser calls should be recorded through a supported browser. Chrome, Edge and Firefox are supported. Safari browser recording is not supported.
Recordings can run for up to three hours. Paradino saves the recording automatically if that limit is reached.
Live transcripts and meeting agendas are available on Pro Max.
Organisation owners can set audio retention to seven days, 30 days or indefinite. New practices default to 30 days. Changing the setting applies to new recordings. Existing recordings keep the retention period already assigned to them.
When the retention period expires, the audio can no longer be played or downloaded. Generated summaries remain available.
Support users can record meetings and generate summaries. For client work, the summary must be associated with an adviser.
For instructions, visit the Recording Meetings guide or read the Meeting Summaries guide.
Leave the meeting with the meeting
The value of a client conversation is what was understood, not the administration it leaves behind.
Paradino keeps the recording available, gives the summary its source and lets the practice decide what should be produced from it.
